Sweather Weather FOREVER
Fall is here and in full swing, style queens!
Everything is “cozy” this, and “pumpkin” that and well, we are ALL about it…
It’s unavoidable, we’re afraid, at this time of year. The pumpkin patches, the chunky cardigans, the crackling fires, the coffee mugs posted all over Instagram, the hints of the holidays right around the corner — resistance, we know, is pointless. And as the saying goes, if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em (insert shoulder shrugging emoji).
So we’re getting extra “cozy” this fall — like apple orchards and beanies level of cozy— and chatting about what really makes this season so flipping awesome.
Celebrating the briskness that accompanies the arrival of fall, here are some of our favorite sweater looks + styles for you to wear, no matter the place or occasion this season.
Enjoy, Elk babes!
Sweaters shouldn’t be forgone when getting dressed for a fun day-date. The key here is pairing it with the right things. Some embellished pants, tall boots and bold accessories can dress up a basic or simple sweater in a snap. We love a good turtle-neck crop paired with a pair of low waist jeans that reveals a hint of waist, while still providing you with warmth. Punch up the detail with the Lola Cap from Lack of Color, and you’ll be vibin’.
Errands on Errands
For those day-to-day errands, shopping trips, or meeting a friend for coffee, a casual, comfortable AND practical look will always do the trick. When we say practical, what we really mean is layers. You already KNOW that fall temps tend to fluctuate, babes! We recommend something that buttons, as cool mornings sometimes tend to turn into hot afternoons. And options are KEY!
Do Not Disturb
On some of those cozier fall days, we can achieve only a few things – Netflix-bingeing, online shopping, and endless lounging. It’s assumed that getting fully dressed is probably not going to happen, and that’s where the mock neck comes in. When a sweater can serve as a blanket it’s a win-win. Good luck getting us to move. Check out one of our new mock neck finds on Witch Wik.
Taking work home isn’t too horrible when you can answer emails via your couch, especially in boyfriend jeans, a chunky sweater with little makeup (just in case you have to jump on a video call of the sorts). We’re lovin’ the mustard Ethan Sweater now added to our staple home office wardrobe, which gives an effortlessly put together vibe. Come fall, this is what a typical WFH outfit should look like. Plus all the coffee.
Stock up on as many as you can, while you can. Layer ‘em on top of each other, there’s no limit to your sweater bundling power, ladies! Drop a comment below and let us know which one of these knits are your all time fav ;)
